Your Ideal Pocket Monster Legends: Z-A Super Form Based on Your Zodiac Sign
This return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited immense excitement across the community. From the one-by-one unveiling of newcomers ahead of the game's launch, to trainers forming strong opinions on the entire lineup of new Megas, there's a lot for enthusiasts to anticipate.
Given many of the Super Forms boasting unique appearances that highlight their personalities, one idea came to mind: How can connect this with zodiac signs? The following is inspired by a mix of vibes, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.
Aries – Mega Camerupt
Honestly, Houndour's evolution was almost chosen for this fire sign, as both are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that evoke the most fear. But, a Super Houndoom appears as always angry, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, renowned for being fun, light-hearted, and impulsive. This makes Aries far more akin to Super Camerupt, which solely spews lava when angered. Stay on the friendly side of either and benefit from a powerful ally; should you offend them, be ready to face the consequences.
Taurus – Super Heracross
Similar to a loyal Bull, the steadfast Heracross species, whether in its standard and Mega form, has aided many trainers in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, each the Pokémon and a Taurus are still battle-oriented, and – be it their trainer or a strong opinion – will defend their side to the end. What about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unabashed passion for snacks. Several previous official descriptions note their craving for tasty tree sap and how it uses its appendage to collect it all, which is true Bull-sign vibe.
The Twins – Mega Medicham
Look at this total royalty. You cannot tell me this creature is not the soul of any gathering, providing an endless stream of gossip to those who wants to listen. Just like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's incredibly easy to imagine Mega Medicham captivating an entire open area with their tales. This Pokémon's Pokédex entry also mentions its ability to foresee an enemy’s next moves, which sounds quite similar to a people-smart Gemini.
The Crab – Super Manectric
The Crab is commonly regarded as the most emotional member of the astrological wheel, a passionate sign famous for often getting absorbed in their emotions. Per the official info, Mega Evolution fills the Pokémon with a “huge amount of energy, but it's too much for this Pokémon to completely control,” which sounds a lot like a typical Cancer crash-out. It is also known for its ability to make a storm cloud over its own head – and if there’s one thing a Crab is going to do, it’s spoil their good time.
The Lion – Super Starmie
Well, did you assume I was planning to pick the lion Pokémon for the lion of the zodiac? Aside from the reality that it would be far too obvious, Leo is clearly Mega Starmie, the diva whose legs just became an internet sensation for being extremely fabulous (or horrifying, based on your taste). Fans were captivated from the purple sea star, and that’s exactly the same energy a Lion brings to the table. Starmie is also rumored to be transmitting signals from its center out into space, and it’s typical of a Lion to be staging a performance, albeit for aliens.
Virgo – Super Victreebel
The ever-prepared and constantly-worried Virgo is perfectly encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with constant digestive issues. The zodiac symbol known for being charmingly critical is clearly mirrored throughout this Pokémon’s entire lineage, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Maiden when you inform them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its upside-down visage that’s just like the emoji a Virgo posts to the group chat when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of creating a strategy.
Libra – Mega Audino
Observe this sweet, sensitive creature, who employs the feelers on its auditory organs to tell how others are emotionally by their pulse. Always empathetic – sometimes to a fault – and striving to keep the harmony, there are numerous Libras who would likely benefit from Super Audino's abilities. However, to be frank, it would likely just cause them to worry more about everyone else.
The Scorpion – Mega Banette
Banette is a Pokémon with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it gained consciousness through pure hatred and vowed revenge on its previous caretaker. According to the official info, Super Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That sounds precisely like several conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpion friends. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal match with Mega Banette.
Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha
Both Super Hawlucha and Archers are always staging a performance. As a Sagittarius myself, the amount of occasions I’ve referred to myself some version of a “playful little jester” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Super Form, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “poses to display its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Archer counterpart I can imagine.
The Goat – Super Absol
Did you know that a Mega Absol has the power to predict calamities ahead of time? That exudes the exact same vibe as a Goat, who often consistently believe they’re right. Interestingly, similar to a visionary Mega Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute initial Mega Evolution that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to join the beginning of the Super Form craze.
Aquarius – Mega Chandelure
Detached air sign Water Bearer is possibly the non-fire sign that is most like a flame symbol – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are countless jokes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being unpredictable accomplices. Super Chandelure's double Ghost/Fire typing fits seamlessly with this, and the Super Form's overall daunting aura is also very Water Bearer. If you weren’t already convinced, the Mega’s description says it “draws in negative energy and transforms it into strength.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
