Three Athletes Shortlisted for Young Sports Personality Prize

Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the 2025 Young Sports Star of the Year award.
The trio have been celebrated for their exceptional achievements over the last year.
Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the very first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a unprecedented innings.
Littler won the award in 2024 after his breakthrough year.
The finalists were unveiled on a popular morning radio program.
The champion will be unveiled on the annual sports awards show on Thursday, 18 December.
The ceremony will be aired from 7 PM GMT.
Agyemang's Profile

A mere three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to winning the Euros.
She entered the fray to score crucial late equalisers in both the knockout stage games.
Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.
Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.
Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.
"To be named a finalist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is incredible," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."
Littler's Profile

Littler kicked off the year in incredible form as - aged 17 - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.
He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.
He didn't stop there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the maiden occasion.
At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, smashing the previous record.
"To receive a nomination for the honour once more is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a proud moment for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."
The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and rose to fame with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.
Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.
It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.
Perrin finished second in the season's run tally and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.
"I'm deeply humbled to be shortlisted for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it motivates more young women to get into cricket."
